Construction signs are commonly found around the area of work zones. Many times it is not practical for construction crews to shut down an entire highway while repairs are made to the road. Therefore, many construction zones have a live flow of traffic passing by while the crews are performing repairs. The purpose of the construction sign is to alert drivers to the dangers that the construction poses and alert them to ways to maintain reasonable safety.
